Dear Praying friends,
We have been having beautiful weather; the trees are beautiful. The boys have been gathering walnuts under our trees here. A farmer said we could have some pumpkins, so we loaded the station wagon with some of them. Another church canned 200 quarts of tomatoes and juice. Also some ladies froze about 70 quarts of corn. We thank the Lord for these provisions. Very delicious, too.
We praise the Lord for the grace He gives from day to day. Also His protecting hand, as He once again spared us from a serious accidents. All of us along with dad Drooger, were on our way to Cumberland. A large rock had fallen in the road, and it was impossible for Jack to miss it. It completely ruined a new tire and rim but praise the Lord, Jack was able to bring the car to a stop about two feet from the guard rail, and no one was injured.
Jack is busy at the Mission each day; a new store building next door to it has been painted and made ready for a store where the used clothing, etc. are sold. Then the printing press is in operation. Tracts printed here are sent all over the world. Recently a lady from Alleghany heard about the tract ministry and wrote asking for several hundred to hand out at the Alleghany Fair. Child Evangelism meetings are being held once a week in Children's Haven. Jack will be helping out there.
One night Cedar Ridge had the Mission service. Jack gave the message; Tom and Terry played their horns, and one of the boys recited verses they had learned while all the children sang. The men told Jack the next day they enjoyed hearing the children take part in the service.
We have had wonderful reports of how the Lord is blessing under Dr. Pyke's ministry. We pray for you folk there, and would you please continue in prayer for us as we seek to make progress under the Lord's guidance. Our thanks for your prayer and financial support.
Your Ambassadors for Christ,
The Droogers
